The introduction presents Pro-ACT’s Foundation Principles, issues of civil rights, and a framework for assessing behavior. The principles presented in this section are at the center of the Pro-ACT philosophy, which is grounded in a belief that the safety of clients and staff are best maintained when the client’s needs and the circumstance of a given crisis are understood and continually assessed.
