What content is included in Advantage?
Advantage covers the Introduction and first 5 Chapters of the Pro-ACT curriculum. That content includes such staff development topics as:
- Professionalism
- Trauma-response and adversity awareness
- Development of a self-control plan
- Early de-escalation strategies
Additionally, the material reviews the cycle of assault as well as 5 models for early response and de-escalation.
Who can use Advantage?
Advantage is available to Individual Learners as well as Organizations and Employee groups.
How much time does it take to complete?
The Advantage course takes approximately 2.5-3 hours. With a flexible format, the course can be broken into easy-to-complete chapters or finished in one sitting.
Can Advantage be used as part of Pro-ACT Certification?
Yes! Advantage can be used as a replacement for the first 7 hours of Pro-ACT Certification training or the first 4 hours of a Pro-ACT Refresher course.
Because Advantage covers the first chapters of the Pro-ACT Certification course, it must be completed prior to entry into the in-person certification completion.
Can Advantage be used as a stand-alone training?
Yes! Advantage is the perfect way to provide staff with the information and skills needed to reduce the potential for crisis while creating a common context for managing behavior.
What does Advantage offer users and organizations?
Advantage e-Learning provides fundamental Pro-ACT Principles to all Learners.
For individuals needing Pro-ACT certification, Advantage replaces the first 7 hours of Pro-ACT certification training with online flexibility.
How would Advantage work in my organization?
Advantage setup is easy and can be completed in as little as 2 business days. Here’s how it works:
- Organizations purchase a 1-year subscription for a minimum of 10 Learners.
- Pricing is based upon the number of Learners accessing Advantage in the 12-month subscription period.
- Agencies can add additional Learners during the subscription year.
- An Agency can have up to 4 Subscription Managers who follow the progress of each Learner.
- Learners enter the program by logging onto the Advantage website.
I forgot my password, what can I do?
You can easily reset your Advantage password. Just follow these steps:
- Click the green Login button in the upper right corner.
- Click “Lost your password?”
- Enter your username or email address and click “Get New Password”. (If you don’t know your Username or password, check with your Agency’s Subscription Manager.)
- A password reset link will be emailed to you.
- If the email link is not immediately received, check the email Spam /Junk folder. If it’s not there, check with your agency Subscription Manager to ensure that your email address was entered correctly.
- Open the email and click the link. Please note, the link that is emailed to you will only work 1 time; after that it is invalid.
- Enter the password of your choice in the empty box. Make note of your password for future use.
- Click “Reset Password” and your new password will be set.
- After resetting your password, click “Return to Pro-ACT” then log in with your new password.
